Premarital Counseling

Put Your Relationship on the Right Path

Are you dating, engaged, or thinking about getting engaged? Maybe you’ve noticed communication or relationship issues with your partner . . . little problems that could get bigger over time. We can help you gain insights and learn tools to put your relationship in a healthier, more empowered place before you move forward.

In premarital counseling, our clinicians use Prepare and Enrich assessments to help couples discover which goals and attitudes toward finances, children, spirituality and lifestyle they share and where they differ. Then, we help you and your partner explore what you’ve learned so you can start married life with a deeper understanding of your partner and the tools to work through differences.

Marital Counseling

Resolve Conflict and Restore Connection

Does it seem impossible to communicate with your partner? Are the two of you repeating the same arguments and conflicts over and over? Often, couples fall into negative patterns of relating that can be hard to break on their own. Counseling can help.

We specialize in helping couples who are struggling with:

  • Lack of intimacy

  • Feeling isolated or lonely in marriage

  • Infidelity or affairs

  • Loss of trust

  • Difficulty communicating

  • Frequent conflict or arguing

  • Parenting challenges

  • Considering divorce

At you first session, your therapist will get to know each of you individually and learn about your relationship and dynamic as a couple. Your therapist will also share how they work and what you can expect from therapy. Then you will discuss your goals for therapy and develop a plan to move forward.

Using a technique called Restoration Therapy, your therapist can help you and your partner identify the negative patterns of interaction that keep you getting stuck. Then, you can work as a team to replace these negative behaviors with healthier ways of relating.

During our sessions,

We create a safe space where both of you can be honest with each other. Our approach is collaborative: Your therapist will share their thoughts about what you say and get feedback from both of you.

Together, we’ll work toward helping both of you:

  • Gain a better understanding of your relationship dynamics

  • Feel empowered to replace negative cycles with positive interactions

  • Feel seen and understood by your partner

  • Reconnect with your partner

  • Restore trust after infidelity

  • Improve communication

  • Learn healthy ways to deal with conflicts

  • Feel secure in your relationship

  • Get the tools you need to support your partner and work together as a couple
